I have a Ioniq 5 1st registered Jan 24. I have done 4500 miles.
On the weekend after it had been stationary for a few days after moving away, there was a loud noise from the rear wheel / brake area.
This then continued to make a noise on every wheel rotation.
It has been in my local dealer and they have told me the rear disc brake needs replacing as it has rusted and this is causing the issue.
This they say will be covered under warranty - but i am astounded this has happened on a new car. Ive had many cars previously - this has never been an issue.
I can’t seem to find other mentions of this happening to anyone.
Anyone else experience this?
Brake Issue - Corroded less than 12 months
Hi,
I get the rubbing on each rear wheel rotation after I've washed the car and maybe not used it for a couple of days. I did book it in but the noise went before the due date. The car is due in this month for its 2 year service so thanks for the heads up I will ask the garage to take a look.
